For the more active, there are plenty of sporting activities to either take part or watch. Golf has been played in Southport for well over 100 years and there are 15 courses in the area, including the famous Royal Birkdale. Whatever your standard of play, there is a course to suit you and we will be pleased to advise on courses and book your tee times for you.

If its spectator sports you want then what could be better than two Premier League football teams on the doorstep. Liverpool & Everton are both within easy reach. Match tickets can be purchased on your behalf if required. Both clubs have stadium tours and well stocked souvenier shops.

There are a great variety of other sporting venues in the area including bowling greens, tennis courts, horse riding and go-karting and there is horse racing at Haydock and Aintree, home of The Grand National.

You can take part in a variety of watersports on the marine lake in Southport and also at Leisure Lakes in Mere Brow. Spalsh World in Southport provides hours of water-based fun, and for the serious swimmer there is Park Pool in Ormskirk
